Tivo Lust
I want one. Sadly the first thought through my head was “Oh #@$# I bet the is lame ass cable company here won’t have CableCARD support until 2050. Reason #442 that I am going to have to move somewhere in the next few years.
So, this seems to have all the features I would want in a new Tivo, well except a DVD burner — but I can live without that. The dual tuners is specatcular, especially now that they use CableCARD — no more anoying cable boxes, IR tents or serial cables. HDTV would be cool. I’ve yet to take the plunge for a new TV — just bought a Wega last year, and I can’t afford the ~46″ or so DLP that I want. BTW — what is the difference between LCD and DLP TVs these days?
I will have one of these little babies soon, sooner if Bresnan supports CableCARD anytime soon. No word on price yet…

speaking of cable companies that suck. when i wanted to watch the seahawks game on cbs a few weeks ago i had to plug a $9.99 antenna into a $3000.00 HDTV to get cbs in HD. comcast does not offer cbs in hd! there is just something wrong about that.
all i want to know is, when will sci-fi be in HD so i can get BSG in all its high def glory! holy hanna! i just realized that’s on tonight!

Thats what we tell those that are less than satisfying–you hate to break a guys ego, unless hes an ass with a small unit, then by all means whoo hoo go to town on the jerk!

When It cums to TV”S BIGGER IS BY ALL MEANS BETTER.
As long as you can slide it in the front door. and place it in a position that you can enjoy it over and over.
Some would say the same thing about significant others — at least the enjoying over and over. Not so much on “as long as you can slide it in the front door”
As one of my friends says — “chubby girls need lovin too! …. just not from this skinny white guy”.
I digress… yes I need a bigger TV, thinking surround sound is needed first though, same for new Tivo. I’m not buying a new TV until HDTV programming options stop sucking hind teet. Although NASCAR on a 62″ DLP was frigging amazing. I could almost feel the wind blowing from the cars zooming by.
