Lugs, not just lesbian-until-graduation fun.
Motherf@#$er. How many lug styles are there for a 1982 Chevy K10 Pickup? Son of a bleepity bleep bleep bleep bleeping bleep bleep bleeper. Grrrrrr!!!
The worst part of it all is that it dumped horseshit all over my plans to get my house cleaned tonight. Two runs to the parts store later, I have a 3 legged pickup that does me about as much good as a bar of lead in my ass. Talk about all greased up and nowhere to go… The first set was a boo-boo by Matt (parts guy), who is so off the Christmas Card list now, with lugs that were just too big. The second set were the right size & length, but there is a grooved portion near the flanged end that has to match up with the rotor and hub — turns out there are different mother@#$ing offsets — some are grooved right near the flange, others a 1/2 inch off. The cute part is that this just might be a front end from a 3/4 ton Suburban or some other vehicle, as it definately is not the same as the book claims, so getting parts correct for it according to the computer is like trying to, well @#$ I don’t know, but damnit it is hard. Goat raping poo eating ass monkeys. Seriously… Well, I’m just glad I can deal with this all in a calm and non-upset manner without needing to vent or swear like a drunken truck driver with a double case of Tourettes. On the up side, I know have a pretty good knowledge of how a 4×4 front hub assembly comes apart, still working on the whole back together bits.
I did manage to get back into the gym for a run today, prior to the lug adventure. I’d kinda skipped out on cardio last week, and while tossing bales is a good muscle workout, there are only a few activities that match the bliss that is hammering a few hard miles out. Heh, yeah, and of those few most involve taking clothes off. God bless them! I got 2 miles in at the usual 9:13 pace, struggling to get to a 3 Doors Down song that didn’t want to make me just stop running and go flying off the treadmill head first into the wall. A short water break and stretch later, we moved on to Korn and some serious speed. The first half of the mile was in the 7mph range — about 8.30 pace, then kicked it up to 8mph for a quarter mile and 9mph for the last quarter. Total time for that mile was just a hair over 7 minutes — I think. It felt pretty good to get the old fast-twitch muscles back in action and I am thinking another run like that tomorrow morning might burn off some stress. It felt like there was a bit more there in the tank, might be time to start finding out exactly how much. That or I start drinking with my oatmeal. I’d bet that Makers goes well.
On a side note: Portana, you forgot to mention that Anna Nalick happens to be smokin’ hot. Her Breathe Video, is a good bit of time wasting that needs to be shared. Damnation. How is it that I’ve missed hearing her music and noticing her ? Her music is a bit Norah Jones in style, but her phrasing and lyrics are much different. Quite interesting — I’d think I would call this more musical poetry than anything. Any others I should know about ? And now for a little more eye candy for my guy friends:
Lol …Just Breathe in response to the truck fun…gotta love that irony!

In an ironic twist of fate, the first time I have seen her video was this morning at 4:30 am watching VH1. I always pictured her as a agnst-ridden black spikey haired chick. Guess I was wrong (and not the first time either).
