Auto-post wp-itunes info
So, after fiddling with the previously mentioned wp-itunes Wordpress plugin, I have got it automatically adding the last song played when I publish — no more of this typing crap. Hit more to get the code changes…

60F and Sunny
It would seem the Pineapple Express has made its way into Montana. Temps Sunday and Monday hovered around 60F. Just freaky — the East Coast gets 2 feet of snow and I am riding the Harley here. Let’s see, 4 Hurricanes, a Tsunami, and one of the worst blizzards in recent memory — I’d say we done pissed off Mother Nature/God/Joe Peshi.
On the bright side, I finally got to give my Mom a ride on the bike. We rode down to my place, grabbed some chips & Corona and watched the Eagles kick the snot out of the Falcons. Tivo gets an honorable mention for allowing us to watch the game in under 2 hours.

Bugzilla notes
Discovered a cool thing about bugzilla today, thanks to Kiko
- You can prefill bugzilla bug creation entries: https://bugzilla.lustre.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=Lustre&version=b1_4
This makes me happy. Sad isn’t it ? Now we just need to get King Buffalo to add this into our report vetting. cough.
Also of note is something that I used a while ago, but managed to forget until now – Pexpect

Dinner
Kris and Christy over for dinner, quite the good eats. Southwestern rub slow cooked on a 2lb london broil, and various fixings. There is something fantastic about having friends over for dinner and drinks and hanging around afterward to chit chat. Taven was quite fun, he was half tired and half trying to impress me at my place, so he ran around and terrassed the place a bit. Found the Muzik Mafia show on CMT. Those folks look like a good party.

raid only goes so far
Not what you want to see when rebuilding the RAID1 array from hda to hdc:
Jan 18 13:42:12 009027cafcca kernel: hda: dma_intr: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error }
Jan 18 13:42:12 009027cafcca kernel: hda: dma_intr: error=0x40 { UncorrectableError }, LBAsect=26824299, sector=26824159
Jan 18 13:42:12 009027cafcca kernel: end_request: I/O error, dev hda, sector 26824159
Jan 18 13:42:12 009027cafcca kernel: raid1: hdc: unrecoverable I/O read error for block 24574240
and of course this is /dev/md2, serving what you might ask? Of course! :
[root@009027cafcca root]# grep /dev/md2 /etc/fstab /dev/md2 / ext3 defaults 1 1
and the best part – where in the rebuild this occurs:
Did I mention this is on the webserver/mailserver/blogger/gateway/firewall, etc etc computer? Damn you Murphy! The good news is that none of my files are affected, it is just the RAID1 rebuild.md2 : active raid1 hda6[0] hdc6[2] 12287424 blocks [2/1] [U_] [===================>.] recovery = 99.8% (12268672/12287424) finish=0.0min speed=12697K/sec
Well, off to mandrake to download the latest CDs. Luckily I do have a spare drive I can place in that machine.

the beast is alive
Soo… to start off, I finally have a vehicle that you can drive in the winter. Here is the lovely, and yet unamed truck:
.
It was an interesting time getting this guy going, as I bought the truck from a friend of the family. It needed a new transmission, so I dredged up the long unused mechanical skills (some would argue that they ever existed), pretended I was a ‘real man’ and with the help of Josh Morse, got the transmission pulled, rebuilt and put back in.
The score:
- Number of Bud Light cans consumed during process: 18
- Nights of fun in heated garage: 2
- Temperature of said garage: 70F
- Temperature of concrete floor under truck : -145F
- Number of cats who decided that the floor was their toilet: 2
- Amount of carpet removed from floor due to stinking like cat pee: 1/2 garage
- Number of times cat shit was found due to scent rather than looking at floor: 5
- Number of cases of ATF fluid used: 1.2
- Knuckles sacrificed to the shitty tool gods: 1, albiet twice.
- Semi truck lug nut wrenches used for nefarious purposes: 1 (used to get the transfer case filler plug out. Who uses blue Locktite on a f*in filler plug?)
- Times Nic had to stop working because he was in danger of wetting pants from laughing so hard: 30
- Times Nic had to stop working becuase he was in danger of wetting pants due to leaking ATF fluid: 2
- Extra parts: 2 wires for reverted overdrive, 1 washer.
For those of you who care:
1982 Chevy 1/2 Ton. Rebuilt 400 with just rebuild Turbo 350. Lock out hubs, dual gas tanks, and 31″x10.50″ tires. Beefy. Interior is good, and I think I will be able to get groceries in it
